As we go through life we make our own mind up about what we do with our lives, and where we go with them. Even when we get good advice and should head the warnings, a lot of the the time we don't, we have to go down a lot of "One way streets" on our own. It is so easy to lose you way in this world. For those of you who don't I think that is great, but I think most people do at some point. I know I did. I couldn't ask for better parents than Gene and Jeanne Rush. All my life I've gone to church, as a child living in Harrison, Arkansas. Every Sunday at the 1st. Christian church my parents made sure all three of us kids were at church, even if we were sick. Moving to Little Rock in the 1960's the age of rebellion and high school. The kids we call friends and the peer grope we are around push us towards beer alcohol and other things, as we drink, it seems to tell us that the rest is okay, and we tell our conscience to go away, not knowing that our conscience is the Holy Spirit and he is just trying to keep us out of trouble and keep us headed in a Godly direction! |
