Pastor's corner Under the shouts of, "Put it back, put it back", The monument
with the Ten Commandments weighing over 5,000 pounds was hydraulically hoisted
and rolled out of the Alabama State Courtroom, and relegated into a closet at
the courthouse. Many had gathered from across America to lend their voices in
protest of the removing of this monument. Dr. James Dobson, founder of "Focus On
The Family", spoke at the gathering saying. "The present controversy started in
1962, removing prayer from the schools. The next year, Bible reading from the
schools. Most recently the Pledge of Allegiance because it says, "Under God".
The court is determined to shove this down our throats and I think it's time to
say, "Enough is enough". Others accepted the courts findings and said the law
must be followed, and took exception to Judge Moore's tactics. One pastor voiced
his opinion stating. "We as Christians should be reformers and not rebels". Pat
Robertson of C B N said, “The United States Supreme Court is hypocritical. They
start their meetings with prayer, but they say school students can't pray. But
the courts say, "God bless this honorable court." I think that's a blasphemy to
ask God to bless that bunch up there in that Supreme Court. In my opinion, it's
blasphemy. But secondly, they also have the Ten Commandments in their courtroom.
